An early posted frame longcase clock circa 1750 by William Nickolls of Oundle Northamptonshire.
The name Nickolls, is i believe, an alternate spelling of the name Nicholls, as this family are mentioned in the list of local Northamptonshire Clockmakers . There is also family by that name farming in the area to this day.

The movement of the clock has recently been cleaned and checked over, and all of the parts seem to be original, The single hand has been superbly made

The dial is unusual, as it is nine and a half inches wide , and slightly longer measured from top to bottom. The spandrels are original
