THE OLD WEST BRIDGE, LEICESTER

SIGNED: GREENE?
DATED: 1878
(After J.F.Lee March 1841)

Superb glazed watercolour of the Old West Bridge in Leicester, the bridge was demolished back in 1841 and it is believed this painting was taken from the artist J.F.Lees original sketch-work which he did in March 1841 when the bridge was demolished.

Impeccable order and condition..

A must for any local historian...

Details of the bridge from news articles are fixed to verso as seen in the image.
