A very rare Aesthetic Movement Clock attributed to Lewis Foreman Day and possibly retailed by Howell & James of Regent St. London (Supplier to Queen Victoria)

A French gong striking 8 day movement stamped MR & Co. 8768 set within a ebonised case with architectural broken pediment with cylindrical urn flanked by serpents.
Typical L.F.Day blue and white stylised ceramic dial with matching floral ceramic tiles surrounding the case, bevelled glass door.
Matching pendulum stamped 8768.
Good working condition with wear consistent with age and use.
