Having a fantastic Beaufort design and Brussels weave it measures a staggering 24.3 feet by 11.2 feet. Finished with vibrant greens, yellows and golds against a pale off white background it would grace any large entrance hall or drawing room. Very comfortable underfoot, together with original order details from 1988. Although there are no stains, the carpet/rug may require a light clean to freshen. The Brussels Weave: Generally used to refer to loop pile carpets and bouclé in fabrics. The pile is woven into the construction as loops, and these are usually cut to create the pile. In Brussels weaves, however, the loops are left uncut. The resulting carpet is just as thick and comfortable under foot, with a tighter feel and matt finish, as light does not reflect from a loop as it would from a cut length. Flemish migrant workers brought the technique to England and to France, hence the name.
